Hey folks.

September has been a hectic month with the beginning of the school year taking up most of my time.

I did, however, get a call from Nicole asking me to fill in at the Ottawa Farmers’ Market last Sunday (Sept. 16th), which was a real treat.
My lovely wife and I sang and played for a few hours and enjoyed a beautiful day at Brewer Park.
Our lunch consisted of pad thai and thin crust pizza, cooked in a wood-stove trailer. First time I’d ever seen anything like that before. They literally drive their oven away at the end of the day!
We also brought home some of the local produce, specifically blue plums, peaches, and broccoli. All delicious.
Looking forward to J. Alexander Vance joining us on October 21st for our final OFM visit of the year.

Another bonus this month was attending bachelor party #1 for See Joe Smile’s drummer, Tyson Domitrovits!

Yep, Tyson is getting married next month and will be checking off the “married” column on all surveys & forms from now on.
Although this is not the place for all the details on the bachelor party,  I can share with you that there was an epic jam, which
featured the original 4 members of the See Joe Smile band playing together again. Tyson and I, along with Thom and Paul, jammed on a few tunes and shook the rust off. Paul commented that the harmonies were pretty tight, which was a great compliment considering that we hadn’t played together since the spring of 2011. It was a grand reunion.

Next post, I’ll try to get a few comments from the groom to be on the excitement that is to come!

Peace,

Joe
